The diagnostic imaging services include x-ray, scan and other advanced equipments. The technician works in labs, clinics, hospitals and nursing homes. A technician works precisely with the orders of the physician to obtain a clear image of the organ. One has to pursue a two year duration radiology technician course to qualify as a radiology technician. In this course, students are taught on the basic imaging procedures. They are also taught on the basics like the patient care and the usage of different equipments.</p><p>The radiology technician course gives the students a deep insight about the organs that are susceptible to radio logical procedures such as the skull, urinary system, thorax and the stomach. The students are also given basic insight on the basic body systems that includes muscular, skeletal, and respiratory and instrumentality systems. The course also includes the study of human diseases and detection of the diseases through radiology procedures. Students are taught in depth about the effects of radiation and the necessary steps to protect radiologist and the patient from the radiation. The course will provide the students a detail study on the amount of radiation exposure and the steps to be taken if the patient is exposed to heavy radiation.</p><p>The radiology technician course will also include a detailed study of the most commonly used equipments like the x-rays, scans and producing quality images from these devices. Students are taught on the various diagnostic procedures for the most common diseases using the equipments. They are also taught on assessing the disease and also on difference between normal and abnormal results.
